The Murray Sharp Foundation is absolutely delighted to share an update on one of our supported athletes, trampolinist and DMT star, Amelia McAulay.
Over the past few months, the funding provided by the Foundation and our generous sponsors has enabled Amelia to dedicate herself to an intensive training schedule. This past weekend, on the 20th and 21st of September, all that hard work and dedication culminated in a phenomenal performance at the Scottish National Championships for Trampolining and DMT, held at the Regional Performance Centre in Dundee.
We are incredibly proud to announce that Amelia has once again achieved a rare and spectacular “double win,” securing two national titles. Her outstanding results from the weekend are:
- Scottish National Champion for DMT (Double Mini Trampoline) L3
aged 13-14 - Scottish National Champion for Trampolining L4, aged 13-14
To cap off an incredible weekend, Amelia’s technical excellence was formally recognised by Scottish Gymnastics, who presented her with a special award for achieving the highest execution (form) score for her DMT passes across the Level 3 competition.
This success is a testament to Amelia’s talent, focus, and relentless effort. We are honoured that our support has helped her access the additional training required to compete and succeed at the very highest level in Scotland.
The journey doesn’t stop here. Amelia’s next challenge is just around the corner as she prepares to represent the Scotland Squad for DMT at the prestigious Loule Cup in Portugal on the 23rd and 24th of October.
Please join us in congratulating Amelia on her magnificent achievements. The entire Murray Sharp Foundation community will be cheering her on as she takes to the international stage next month!
