We are thrilled to bring you another update on the incredible momentum of Foundation athlete Amelia McAulay.
Following her fantastic start to the year in January, Amelia has continued her winning streak across two major competitions in March, proving that her hard work on the Performance Pathway is paying off in spades.
Success In Dundee
At the Second Scottish Qualification Competition, held at the Dundee International Sports Centre in March, Amelia delivered a masterclass in consistency and skill:
🥇 Trampoline Level 4 (15–16 age group): First Place
🥈 DMT Level 3 (15–16 age group): Second Place
🥈 Trampoline Synchro (Under 17s): Second Place
These results were vital, as they secured more essential points toward the Regional Finals taking place in Birmingham later this year.
Taking on the National Stage
Amelia didn’t stop there. Just two weeks later, she travelled to Newcastle for the 1st Trampoline League competition. Competing against a high-calibre national field, she once again found her way to the podium:
🥇DMT League 3 (15–16 age group): First Place
🥉Trampoline League 2 (15–16 age group): Third Place
Trampoline Synchro (Under 17s): Fifth Place
This successful weekend in Newcastle has officially put Amelia on the map for the League Finals, which are set to take place in Derby this October.
Building A Bright Future
The Murray Sharp Foundation was established to help young people strive in their chosen sports while keeping fit, healthy, and having fun.
Amelia’s dedication to her training and her ability to perform under pressure at a national level are exactly the kind of spirit we are proud to support.
Keep reaching for the stars, Amelia – the whole Foundation community is behind you!
