A Season to Remember for Gavin Mitchell

We are thrilled to bring you a massive update from the basketball court. Foundation athlete Gavin Mitchell has been having a career-defining season with the Oaklands Wolves, balancing elite training and studies whilst competing.
The Men’s team has been nothing short of dominant this year. After finishing their regular season with a perfect 17-0 undefeated record, they were crowned league winners and officially secured promotion to Division 1 for next season.
But the work isn’t done yet! Gavin and his teammates have fought their way through the postseason and officially reached the Playoff Finals.

The success continues with Gavin’s U18 squad. After an undefeated regular season of their own, the team entered high-stakes promotion games to determine their standing for next year. We are proud to share that they were successful and have officially secured their spot in the Premier League for next season!
Earlier this year, Gavin set a personal goal to reach the EABL playoffs—a goal he has now firmly ticked off the list. His journey this season perfectly encapsulates the spirit the Murray Sharp Foundation was built to support: hard work, team success, and the drive to compete at the highest level.
