Today, we are excited to share a progress update from Scottish professional golfer Lorna McClymont as she finds her rhythm and climbs the rankings across Europe!
The step up to full-time professional golf is a journey filled with steep learning curves and high-stakes competition. After a tough stint on the Ladies European Tour (LET) following her trip to South Africa, Lorna faced a setback when she missed the LET re-rank, limiting her entries into remaining main tour events this season.
Rather than letting momentum slip, Lorna pivoted her focus to the Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS) – and her determination has paid off in spades.
Since June, Lorna has delivered consistent, high-caliber golf across Europe. Competing in six LETAS tournaments, she successfully made the cut in five, securing a string of impressive finishes:
Thanks to this steady form, Lorna has surged to 52nd on the LETAS Order of Merit, proving that her game is firmly trending in the right direction!
Lorna’s solid play on the Access Series earned her a return to the main stage, teeing off at the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open on the Ladies European Tour at Golf Gerre Losone.
From claiming major national amateur titles to representing Great Britain & Ireland in the victorious 2024 Curtis Cup team, Lorna’s potential is undeniable.
