At the Murray Sharp Foundation, our core mission is to provide funding and support for young people in sport, helping them chase their dreams, thrive, and achieve greatness. Today, we are incredibly proud to share an update on one of our supported athletes who is quite literally taking the global darts world by storm: Mitchell Lawrie.

Mitchell’s progress this season has been nothing short of legendary. He has put in the hours, traveled the distance, and the results speak for themselves. He is currently sitting at the absolute top of the sport as both the WDF Youth and Senior World Number 1, alongside leading the Junior Darts Corporation (JDC) Advanced Tour and the Junior Power League.

Mitchell's Accomplishments

  • World Champion Status: 6 WDF Youth Ranking Titles and 4 WDF Senior Ranking Titles under his belt.
  • Lakeside Bound: By winning the prestigious Denmark Open (a Gold-tier event), Mitchell has officially guaranteed his place at the 2026 Lakeside World Championships!
  • Record Breaker: Set a brand new record by securing 8 JDC Advanced Tour Titles.
  • World Record Holder: Holds the official World Record for the JDC Weekly routine, alongside the record for the highest averages in both JDC and WDF youth events.
  • National Representation: Proud member of the SDA Youth and Senior teams, recently winning “Player of the Weekend” at the British Internationals.
