Football Club
Bridge of Weir United FC is a thriving local youth football club run entirely by volunteers. Driven by the hard work and success of the coaches and players, the club's rapid growth created a vital need for additional kit and training equipment. The Murray Sharp Foundation proudly provided a community funding grant to supply the club with new matchday strips, supporting their ongoing mission to make grassroots football accessible to young players in the community.

Golfer
Rosie from Pollok GC is a remarkably talented golfer who established herself as one of the top young players in Scotland, representing her country on the Under-18 national team. Her impressive early career highlights include winning the World Junior Championship at age 16 and capturing the County Championship in 2022, alongside numerous open and club titles. The Murray Sharp Foundation provided vital funding for coaching and competition expenses during her development, helping prepare her for a prestigious golf scholarship at the University of Indianapolis.
Isla McCutcheon

Isla established herself as one of the elite talents in Scottish women's cycling, balancing her intensive training with a part-time job and college studies in Sports Therapy. Driven by the goal to rank as Scotland's No.1 female cyclist and represent her country at the Commonwealth Games, she earned selection for the Scottish Cycling elite pathway team, Solas Cycling. The Murray Sharp Foundation was delighted to back Isla’s ambition, providing a grant that enabled her to purchase a state-of-the-art bike and funding her training camps and competitions across the UK and Europe. We remain incredibly proud to have supported her on her path to progression into the UK elite.

James earned a brilliant ranking as the No.3 squash player in Scotland. Facing the unique challenge where only the top two national players receive official funding, the Murray Sharp Foundation was delighted to step in and sponsor his journey. Our grant provided essential support for his coaching, training, and competition expenses across the UK and Europe, investing in his ultimate ambitions to reach the Scotland No.1 spot and represent his country on the Commonwealth Games stage.

After capturing the UK Junior Championship title, young prodigies Lucas and Evan earned the incredible opportunity to take their talents to the global stage. The Murray Sharp Foundation was delighted to sponsor their travel to the United States to compete in the World Junior Championship, investing in their early development and fuelling the bright future of two of Scotland’s rising sports stars.
Kilmacolm Golf Club
Community Golf Academy
The Trustees proudly agreed to help fund a community youth golf academy at Kilmacolm Golf Club. In a fantastic initiative to open the sport up to youngsters who may not otherwise have had the opportunity to play, the club engaged directly with local schools and Inverclyde Council. The Murray Sharp Foundation's funding provided essential clubs, practice equipment, and professional coaching, securing a lasting investment in grassroots youth golf for the local community.
