Golf Day 2025 – The Murray Sharp Foundation

We are delighted to announce the date and arrangements for the next Murray Sharp Foundation Golf Day, we hope you will be able to join us to raise funds in memory of our very dear friend.

The Murray Sharp Foundation has been set up to provide support & funding for young people in sport, something which was very important to him and dear to his heart, helping young people to strive in their chosen sports whilst keeping fit and healthy and having fun.

The day promises to be a another great one, the programme will be as follows:-

• 9.00am Meet at Old Course Ranfurly Clubhouse / Registration
• 9.30am Bacon rolls, tea and coffee for all participants
• 10.00am Drawing of teams and auctioning of teams
• 10.45am Make your way to your allocated tee – ready for shotgun start
• 11.00am Golf commences
• 3.30pm Golf concludes / Handing in of scorecards
• 4.00pm Drinks in clubhouse
• 4.30pm-5pm 2 Course buffet
• 6.30pm Presentation of Prizes, Raffle & Charity Auction
• 7.15pm After dinner speaker – Alan Tait – PGA Professional
• 8.00pm End of formal part of day

The format will be a shotgun start. There will be 4 players per team. Entry fee of £150 per player.

Due to the interest and numbers, we are having to restrict the invite to individuals only at present. Teams will be drawn on the morning of the event – followed by the auctioning off of the teams (only 18 teams available to buy – so don’t miss out!).

There is an opportunity to sponsor holes for the day, cost of £125 per hole.
There is also an opportunity to sponsor prizes for the day, including the nearest to the pins, longest drive and the on-course bar/ refreshments. There will also be a chance to “beat the Pro” at one of the par 3’s.
